Day Twenty-Five+Six: Water + Hugs

I am lumping thes two subject together but they're just as important as each other and I think we should seek out both in equal quantities. 

However, saying that I definitely get more hugs than I drink glasses of water and I need to sort that out. My soul gets all the love but my body is definitely lacking so I've recently put my Diet Coke/Coke Zero addiction on hold and I've switched to water, still and sparkling, or squash. 

In case you didn't know, water...

  • Increases energy levels and reduces fatigue!
  • Flushes out toxins!
  • Improves skin!
  • Boosts the immune system!
  • It's rather accessible...!!!
  • And much more!

And whilst we all know how lovely a hug is, a hug can also...
  • Boost oxytocin levels which reduces feelings of loneliness and anger and causes us to bond with our hugging partner!
  • Cause muscles to relax!
  • Balance your nervous system! 
  • Decrease your heart rate therefore increases heart health!
  • ...and much more!
Look, water and hugs are great and natural ways to relieve stress and many other of life's nasties so I here is your daily reminder to find both!
